1. UNDERSTANDING REPORTS

Silobase Reports provide insights into your asset inventory, usage patterns, and team activity for decision-making, audits, and oversight.

ACCESSING REPORTS: Click "Reports" in the sidebar.

AVAILABLE REPORTS:

FULL ASSET REGISTER

  • Complete list of all assets with:
  • Asset name and tag
  • Category and department
  • Current status
  • Location
  • Purchase information
  • Current assignee (if assigned)

Use for: Complete inventory, audits, insurance

ASSETS BY USER

Assets grouped by assignee:

  • Each user/recipient listed
  • Their assigned assets
  • Assignment dates

Use for: Tracking who has what, accountability

ACTIVITY HISTORY

Timeline of all check-ins/outs:

  • Date and time
  • Asset involved
  • Person and action
  • Notes

Use for: Audit trails, usage analysis

DASHBOARD STATISTICS

Quick metrics:

  • Total assets
  • Assigned vs. available
  • Category breakdowns

Use for: At-a-glance status

2. FULL ASSET REGISTER

A comprehensive view of every asset in one sortable, filterable table.

INFORMATION INCLUDED:

Each asset entry shows: - Asset Tag Number - Asset Name - Category - Department - Location - Serial Number - Status (Available/Assigned) - Current Assignee (if applicable) - Purchase Date - Purchase Price - Warranty Status - Condition

USING THE REGISTER:

Quick Inventory Count: - See total assets at a glance - Review by category or department - Identify gaps in inventory

Auditing: - Export for physical inventory verification - Compare against actual assets - Note discrepancies

Insurance Documentation: - Show total asset values - List items by category - Export for claims or renewals

Physical Verification: 1. Set filters (e.g., IT department) 2. Sort by location or tag number 3. Export the list 4. Use for physical verification 5. Note discrepancies for follow-up.

3. FILTERING AND EXPORTING

USING FILTERS:

Most reports can be filtered by: - Date Range: See specific time periods - Category: Filter by asset type - Department: Filter by department - Location: Filter by location - Status: Available, Assigned, or All - User/Recipient: Specific person's assets

SORTING DATA:

Click column headers to sort: - Ascending (A-Z, oldest first, lowest first) - Descending (Z-A, newest first, highest first)

Multiple sorts available in most views.

EXPORTING REPORTS:

  • Generate report with desired filters
  • Click "Export" or download button
  • Select format:
  • CSV: For spreadsheets
  • Excel: Formatted spreadsheet
  • PDF: For printing (if available)
  • Save the file

Export uses: - External analysis - Sharing with stakeholders - Compliance documentation - Backup records

TROUBLESHOOTING

A: Check your filters. Clear all filters to see everything.

Q: Can I schedule automatic reports?

A: Check filters. Ensure you're viewing "All" status.
